About Us

Shiloh’s Animal Rescue Inc. was officially started on June 5th, 2023 and founded by Kaya Gwinn. It all started with a dog named Stella who was euthanasia listed at Riverside County animal services. I drove to a 10 hour round trip to save her and the rest is history! I decided to start this rescue because of the massive amount of animals that are euthanized every day. Around 15,000 cats and dogs are euthanized every month due to overcrowding. California is currently in a crisis with the sheer amount of animals that are taken in by shelters. So I made it my mission to reduce that number and find dogs that would have otherwise been euthanized, a nice loving home.

The process of rescuing an animal is long and complicated. We depend on fosters and adopters to keep this thing going. There are so many animals facing euthanasia, so the more people we have helping, the more animals we can take in. We travel to areas that are hours and hours away to rescue these animals and rely on generous donations from to public to operate.

So far, we have rescued 90 dogs and cats! Each of these dogs and cats will live a happy life now, and as the support for our rescue grows, we hope to keep increasing that number. With your continued support, we can keep rescuing dogs and cats from unnecessary euthanasia or abandonment.
